Here's the ever lovely, and ever insane, Harley Quinn. I copied this from a drawing I found online and I sketched it, inked it and painted it using watercolours before I framed it and gave it to a friend as a birthday present.
I've always liked Harley Quinn, ever since the Batman cartoon from the 90's. She was just crazy and funny and I liked her costume. I actually don't have any comic with her in it, now that I think of it... I must rectify that...
The only thing I dislike about the coloured version of this is that I didn't have the proper watercolour paper. It's on photocopy paper, but since the frame flattens the paper, it still looks ok. It was also the first time I tried to ink one of my drawings, and I liked it so much I haven't stopped inking them since :)
Today I actually finished inking a sketch of the Hulk, so that should be interesting to ink as I've never inked anything big and green before.
I'm doing all this instead of working on a Cultural Studies essay by the way... Oh well, at least I have 5 more days to do it. Lets hope I don't get distracted by the nice weather or the sudden urge to buy a strawberry Cornetto :P
Get the Harley Quinn Preludes and Nocturnes trade. It's fun and the art is gorgeous.
