Irish Dogs for the Disabled

Yesterday I helped out the Irish Dogs for the Disabled by playing with some dogs and shaking a bucket at people on the street. Apparently this was called fundraising, but it was great fun to do it for 4 hours. I could make a horrible pun like it was fun-raising, but I won't :P Spending a few hours with friends and some really cute puppies would brighten up anyone's day. Raising money for a worthy cause while doing it just makes it that bit sweeter.

These people do some amazing stuff with training these dogs and giving them to disabled kids and adults who truely need them. Whether the dog is needed to open doors, empty washing machines, push buttons, or just be a companion to these people, they go through months of training which unfortunately does cost a lot. It was great to get the chance to help out, and it was nice to see so many people giving all the money they did, especially when you think the world has gone to shit lately.
